Use Google Scholar to find articles from a wide variety of academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories and universities, as well as scholarly articles available across the Web. Drawback is that not all articles are free.
Open Access Scholarly Journals
Most college and university online databases are not free to the public, students must use a username and password to access them. However, as you search the web, you may find online scholarly journals; these are "open access" articles that are free to the public. Besides Google Scholar, there are many other resources for open access publications.

Elsevier Open Access
All articles published in Elsevier Open Access journals are peer-reviewed and are free for everyone to read and download. Scroll down the page for the A-Z Directory of open access titles.
ERIC Education Resources Information Center
ERIC is a database of more than 1.1 million citations on education topics going back to 1966. Over 100,000 of the articles are available in full text for free.
You can search 10-million-plus articles from "leading academic, industry and general interest publications."
Free Medical Journals
This site lists medical journals that are free now and those that are free 1-6 months after publication. You may browse by title or by specialty area.
Public Library of Science
The Public Library of Science is an excellent open access site for biological and medical research articles.
