Picking up Books/Items

Picking Up Items on Campus

Items can be picked up (and returned) at the Lightner Library Circulation Desk.

Please let the staff member know that you are picking up an Interlibrary Loan item. Give them your last name and show your ID card.

Please note the due date on the sticker on the item. The item should be returned on or before the due date.

To renew an item, see the Renewing Items tab.

Receiving Items by Mail

If you live far away from the main campus of Keuka College, your loan delivery settings should both be at "Mail to Address." If you need to update your address or change this setting, click on "Change User Information" under "Tools."

If you have the "Mail to Address" settings chosen, the item will be shipped directly to the address listed in those settings. It may take slightly longer because the item has to first be shipped to the Lightner Library for the interlibrary loan staff to process and then send to your address.

When you have received the item, note the due date on the sticker on the book. Please return the item one or two days before the due date.

When you return the item, it should be shipped back to the Lightner Library's address, which is as follows:

Lightner Library Interlibrary Loan
Keuka College
141 Central Ave
Keuka Park, NY 14478

Due Dates

Articles: Articles do not need to be returned. They are available to download electronically for 30 days; then they are deleted from the system. If you need to redownload the article again after that time, you will need to submit another request.

Books: Due dates for books vary depending on the library they are borrowed from. The due date is printed on the sticky label on the front of the book. Please leave the sticker on the book.

To view the due date online:

  1. Log in to ILLiad.
  2. Click "Checked Out Items" under the "View" section in the left-hand menu.
  3. See the Due Date in that column on the table.
