Interlibrary Loan: Renewing Items

Interlibrary loan is a service that allows you to get materials that we do not own at Keuka College. We will request materials from other libraries for your use. Currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff can request interlibrary loans free of charg

How do I renew my item?

Renewing your items is easy!

To renew an item, contact our Interlibrary Loan Staff before the due date.

315-279-5350 or ill@keuka.edu

How many times can I renew an item through interlibrary loan?

The number of renewals allowed is decided by the library that lends the item to us.

Typically, other libraries will allow us 1 renewal. However, some libraries may allow more or fewer renewals.

If you still need the item after the allotted number of renewals, you may submit another renewal request, but it may not be approved by the lending library. If that happens, you can submit a new request for the item, but you will need to return the copy you have.

Remember, you do not need to renew articles. They are available in the system for 30 days, so as long as you download the file during that time, then you will have it indefinitely. If you need to re-download the article again after that time, you'll need to submit another request for it.
